147167Photo #147167Agreed that something needs to be done here at this walking/cycling crossing, the speed limit approaching the junction from Upton Road should be reduced further away from the junction. The idea of using the underpass is good, but it is littered with drug paraphernalia.Track:
Problem
track
146275Photo #146275Bend in the road makes this stretch of road extremely dangerous for all road users, motorbikes, cyclists, lorries because it is narrow and the hill makes it impossible to see oncoming traffic on the other side. To fix this issue I would relocate the road to where the pin is placed on the map, this will make the road straighter enabling road users to see more of the road, the dip in the road can be removed in the process and the road can be widened as well.Cycleway:

144861Photo #144861Can the old railway line be used as a footpath from Horton Way to The Albion Inn on Station Road? Since the public footpath going through the golfcourse has been made private. If the footpath through the golf course was to re-open there would be the danger of golf balls and the inability of being able to walk through the gate with a bike as it doesn't fit.Track:

144608Photo #144608The bridge is too narrow for a footpath so pedestrians have to take a chance. Adding an sympathetic footpath similar to nearby B3073 Poole rd / Oakley hill bridge over the river Stour would be ideal.Track:

144607Photo #144607More people would cycle to Wimborne from Corfe Mullen if there was a safe cycle way along this busy roadCycleway:
Problem
cycleways
144606Photo #144606It is very dangerous to walk from Corfe Mullen to Wimborne because the bridge is too narrow. More residents would walk and cycle into Wimborne rather than driving if it was safer. We also run holiday accommodation in Corfe Mullen and guests like to walk to restaurants in town but often comment on the bridge being dangerous which puts them off going again. Therefore Wimborne restaura are loosing money due to problems with access from Corfe Mullen.Track:

143950Photo #143950Again very ambitious. This is a national cycle route that is also a rat run with blind bends, narrow (but not single track) road, and dips. It is too dangerous for leisure cycling. Close it to all motor traffic except access (using tech like transponders for residents' cars, and some pass system for deliveries) so the number of motor vehicles is massively reduced and walkers/cyclists/horses can relax. To extend from just Springfield Hotel to Wool.Cycleway:

143944Photo #143944Ambitious this one, but I cycle ten miles a day to get to a workplace that is 1 mile away as the crow flies. This is because of the river Piddle. There are tracks/bridges across it, I am told, but none open to the public. Allowing cycle/foot/horse use would open up connections between the Piddle Valley and Wareham Forest, and help me get to work faster!Cycleway:

143943Photo #143943Narrow lane alongside a popular common, is also a rat run with a lot of speeding and overweight/overheight vehicles, and nowehere for walkers/cyclists/horseriders to go to escape. Close to vehicular traffic to make a safe and pleasant connection to the common and other bridleways.Temporary closure:

143941Photo #143941Getting from the bottom of Carey road by bike means either trunign right on to Bere Rd, then again on the roundabout, or cycling on a narrow pavement through a busy bus stop. A shared use path around the bus stop, or a new path from the end of Johns Rd between the car hire & VW garage to the roundabout would ease it.Cycleway:
Problem
cycleways
143938Photo #143938Getting across the railway here is a nightmare - there is footbridge with only steps, and a pedestrian level crossing that has to 'personed' and often isn't. Cars go over a new bridge which has NO provision for feet or bikes, despite having the space. Either restore the level crossing to open access and trust us, or put a shared use path on the road bridge (or both)Cycleway:

143936Photo #143936Pavment through the village ends here. A pavement from here to Wareham (ie going East) would make walking and possibly cycling easier, not just to get in to town but to access footpaths etc along the way.Track:
Problem
track
143935Photo #143935Pavement is narrow and road busy (40mph limit but few obey it), so if meet people coming the other way have to step in to the road. A pavement on both sides or a wider pavement on one side all the way from here to the church would helpTrack:

143591Photo #143591Leigh Road from Old Ham Road into Wimborne needs a dedicated cycle path. This road is busy and in places in poor shape. It is not, however, a one way street.
It is, therefore, preventing cyclists from using Albert Road as a quietway route. The one way sign should be labelled ‘except cyclists’, in order for cyclists to use this quiet road to enable social distancing.
